![]() Keeping this one short and sweet! No one likes being sick, okay well maybe there are those that love the attention from it but still probably don’t like it. Boosting your immune system sounds great, right? There is a little problem with that idea. It is a system and just like any other system it needs harmony and balance. Germs and bacteria can throw off that balance and then the next thing you know you are blowing your nose so much that you look like Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer having a bad hair day in the middle of May. ![]() Does that mean all this talk about exercise and nutrition helping your immune system is a hoax’s?? Not really, studies have and are showing that adopting a healthy lifestyle that incorporates exercise and nutrition are two ways to strengthen your immune system to help fight off those nasty germs. Like a one two punch! Exercise and proper nutrition are two of the main staples of healthy living and consuming foods that contain micro-nutrients like zinc, iron, copper and vitamins allows your body to absorb them into your system so it can have a better chance at staying well. As for exercise, I think it is safe to say that everyone knows that it helps lower blood pressure, protects against various diseases, and helps with cardiovascular health. Look at it this way, exercise gets the blood pumping and flowing which promotes good circulation therefore all those nutrients that your body needs has a better chance of moving through your system to do their jobs! Give your immune a system a fighting chance by treating it right through exercise and proper nutrition.
